Converting PEUGEOT 206 Into Micro Camper Part1 (The Beginning)

The beginning.

Our car is a PEUGEOT 206 5doors, 2001 model.

We bought it brand new and we have travel with it in many destinations but never sleep inside.

In May of 2021 we decided to convert it into a micro camper so we can travel for camping with our 7yo dog mainly for 2 to 5 days.

And since our dogs name is JOY we name the camper: JOYs CAmpeR.

The first and more important decision was to remove completely the rear seats so we have more space and storage.

We rarely use our car to carry passengers so by removing them was no problem but necessary.

After a long research on the internet we find some great ideas for the conversion.

The main things that we wanted to have into this camper was: a kitchen area with lots of storage accessing from the back door, an Ice fridge in permanent isolated place, and a dog seat - storage box for toiletries.

And all this must be under the bed, sized 1,20cm x 1,80cm, enough for two people and a dog.

For a toilet we carry a chemical toilet that we can place (in spacial cases during the day) behind the passengers seat and outside on a toilet tent.
